My Review:
The Coven, Pack and Pride join forces again in another action packed novel.  Members are going missing from the local covens, packs, and prides. As they talk with each other they realize these missing young people are somehow connected and they must hurry to solve the mystery and save their people.  Natasha is the first person they turn too to solve this crime and save the young sups.

We continue to dive deeper into the romances and lives of the sups and *waving myself* they are so smoking hot!

I love this series and I suggest to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance, action, and mystery.

Nicky Penttila "A Note of Scandal"

What’s the harm in a little white lie?

Especially when it could carry so much good: a new life for a wounded soldier, catharsis after long years of war—and an opportunity for lady composer Olivia Delancey to finally hear her music played in public.

Newspaper publisher Will Marsh refuses to compound the sins of his father’s generation by taking money to print propaganda. But with the end of the wars in France and America, he needs something new to drive Londoners to grab his paper first. Why not publish the score of the “Tune That Took Waterloo,” by a wounded vet, no less?

As Olivia struggles to keep her secrets from this unsuitably alluring publisher, and Will fights to find the truth without losing his hold on this bright-eyed angel who has descended into his life, both discover another sort of truth.

Being the talk of London can be bad—or very, very good.

Interesting elements:

The newspaper-publishing setting is very rare in regencies but fascinating to the author, a former newspaperwoman.

Music plays a big role: Olivia plays pianoforte and Spanish-style guitar; there are three very different concerts in the story.

Water also is big: the hero falls in the sound and nearly drowns; the heroine surprises the hero during a steamy bath.

Olivia lies to help a wounded veteran and he is a strong secondary character. Services and conditions for war veterans were poor at this time.

My Review:
Nicky Penttila pens "A Note of Scandal" with a fascinating plot of history, love, passion, and women's rights or lack thereof. The characters are very well fleshed out and very easy to visualize and relate to. Yes the book is a bit slow and has some unfamiliar word usage in the first few chapters, but I promise if you stay with it you will be sucked into the drama and not want to put the book down until you read "THE END".

Nicky Penttila writes stories with adventure and love, and often with ideas and history as well. My review of "The Dohmestics"

Edna, Amira, and Noof are neighbors but that doesn't mean they know what happens behind closed doors or that they have anything in common with their hired help.

Maria, Maya, and Lillie live in the same compound as their employers but that's where the similarities begin and end.

There's never a dull moment for anyone in this desert emirate.

The unending gossip and unrelenting competition may be business as usual for expatriate communities but the unspoken secrets threaten to destroy life as everyone knows it.

My Review:
Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar pens "The Dohmestics" with a humane and sympathetic attitude. Her writing is direct without being critical or malicious and provides a very smooth read that flows nicely. With her well developed characters, Mohanalakshmi takes you through the lives of the unsung heroines (and heroes) of this Middle Eastern culture and the complicated relationships they have with their employers.  A must read for all romance fans that like a nice quick read.

BIO:  Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar is a South Asian American who has lived in Qatar since 2005. Moving to the Arabian Desert was fortuitous in many ways since this is where she met her husband, had a baby, and made the transition from writing as a hobby to a full time passion.  She has since published five e-books including a mom-ior for first time mothers, Mommy But Still Me, a guide for aspiring writers, So You Want to Sell a Million Copies, a short story collection, Coloured and Other Stories, and a novel about women’s friendships, Saving Peace. Most recently, From Dunes to Dior, is a collection of essays related to her experiences as a female South Asian American living in the Arabian Gulf. After she joined the e-book revolution, she dreams in plotlines. Learn more about her work on her website at www.mohanalakshmi.com or follow her latest on Twitter: @moha_doha.

I adore this book!!! Read my Review of Finding Trust.

BLURB:
Finding Trust – Book 1 Centre Games Series Brayden and Rihanna He’s hot, sexy, and leads a double life. Sometimes in the limelight, mostly in the shadows. Brayden James holds fast to a secret that’s more than his to share. She’s a singularly focused veterinarian out for a rare night of fun with friends, at a New Year’s Eve rock concert. Going home with the lead guitarist was furthest thing from Rihanna Mason’s mind when the night began. When Rihanna inadvertently becomes the target of a deadly terrorist plot using the Hendra virus as a biological weapon, Brayden is forced to reveal his other life. His job is to keep her safe and together they must stop the terrorists before it’s too late. But what happens when she becomes more to him than just the assignment? Will the secret he cannot disclose ultimately prove too much for Rihanna’s fragile trust in relationships? Or will he finally break through the double brick walls around her heart, where every other man has failed?

My Review:
OMG!  I just finished this book and I adore this couple!  They go through so much to be together both from inner torment  and secrets as well as bio terrorists.  If you like that old TV series dark angle with Jessica Alba you will love this series!

Brayden is just smokin hot and so romantic!  His song that he sings at the end of the story just sums up the entire history that Brayden and Rihanna share. I love that Brayden calls her Minky.

Rihanna is a super smart veterinarian and researcher.  Due to a traumatic history she has bricked up her heart and protects herself by not letting anyone in.  Luckily for Rihanna and us rabid readers
Brayden won't toleration her barriers and ice lady ways.  He is just swoon worthy the way he breaks down her defenses and works so very hard to understand her.

The secondary characters are just a hoot!  I foresee the entire team of 12 each getting their own books and I can hardly wait to read them! The three main extra's in this book are Jazz who is a scream, Quade how is so crabby and Rory is just plain sweet. I am guessing with all of the sniping between Quade and Jazz, their book will be next.

So very well done Ms Gayle!

 Chapter One
When he moved slightly forward to the microphone and joined in the chorus with “Taaake me baaabyyyyyy , maaaake me yours tooonight,” her eyes moved up to meet his and he knew he had her attention. Bingo! She held his gaze momentarily before becoming self-conscious. Her eyes slipped from his and began to look out into the endless gyrating waves of revellers around her. So she was a little unnerved by the directness of his gaze.

Her eyes returned to his and again he held the connection. Minky, as he thought of her now, broke the connection again. So she wasn’t sure if he was looking at her. Well, he thought, let’s make sure you’re not confused any longer, Minky. The next time her eyes returned to his face, he raised his eyebrows and openly smiled at her. Yep, it’s you I’m interested in tonight, sweetheart.

The guy on Minky’s left reached for the sliding door on the side of the van when a voice came out of the shadows.

“Let her go and I’ll consider letting you live.”

Excitement rained through her. It was music to her ears but at the same time left no doubt as to the menace and cold hard intent of its owner. The owner of the voice stepped forward from the shadows and Rihanna immediately recognised him as “her man.” Relief tentatively began to rise in her heart.

BIO:
I recently discovered those school vocational assessments are really interesting and probably correct! Who would have thought, hey? You see, I clearly remember taking one of those in Year 11 (for my US friends, I think that equates to junior year in high school). Anyway, semantics. Well, the results came back indicating that I should pursue a career in writing and something else. What that something else was I can’t remember but the writing thing stuck in my mind. Sure, I’d always liked English and had already developed a ravenous appetite for romance novels by the age of sixteen—but who becomes a writer straight out of school? So to cut a long story short, I went to Uni and studied Business and ended up managing large-scale IT projects shortly after. I can’t complain: it’s been a great career. I’ve done some awesome projects and met some incredible people and I won’t be giving it up anytime soon. Anyway, I’ve messed around with a couple of “secret” novels over the years and I finally decided to get serious and finish one. Hence “Finding Trust” came about. And about twenty years later, I’ve finally proved a vocational assessment correct, because I love writing! As to some other stuff about me: I live on the Gold Coast, Australia. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not sitting behind a screen playing with IT or writing, you might find me down the beach playing in the waves on a Jet Ski or a bogey board (both are uber cool). When the weather turns a bit cooler (doesn’t really happen on the Gold Coast), we like to head for the snow. I’ve discovered I have two kids who are kamikaze skiers—they must take after their father. He’s always at me to “release the handbrake.” Apparently I’d ski so much better. I call it a healthy understanding of self-preservation and gravity! I like to think I can fit in a few workouts and martial arts classes each week. This tends to be a figment of my imagination more than reality, unfortunately. I am trying to remedy this, but those damn characters just keep demanding to have their stories told and, well, there’s always another good book to read! I hope you enjoy mine. Please drop me a line. I’m active on Facebook, Twitter, and via email Natalie@nataliegayle.com.au. I’d love to know what you think of my books and well, let’s be truthful—I love talking about books, whether they’re mine or someone else’s. Fiction is just so much more fun than reality!!! Happy Reading Natalie Gayle
