My Review:

Zoey Derrick does it again!
In the final installment to the reason series she wraps everything up perfectly. I was so entranced by the characters that I didn't want it to end. The way Zoey can make a serious situation exciting and add a little bit of a giggle into it is just astounding.
Viv and Mikah finally get it all! In this last book she expounds on all the characters and explains everything. There is no cliff hanger BUT there is an option to continue on with more of this story. Weather she continues on with Viv and Mikah or takes a new direction with the "supporting" characters.
Mikah has a different feel to him in this one. He's more calm and approachable. He just MORE! Viv finds herself and comes into her own skin perfectly. She's not the timid shy girl you first meet.
If you haven't picked up this series to read you NEED to and fast!
I can't wait to see more from Zoey Derrick in the future

Review by Rachel Harper

Amazon Best Selling Angels, Demons & Devils and Paranormal Author of Give Me Reason - The Reason Series Book One comes from Glendale, Arizona. Zoey, was a mortgage underwriter by day and is now a paranormal, romance and erotica novelist full-time. She writes stories as hot as the desert sun itself.  Described as a cross between the X-Files and Call of Cthulhu, the second title in Indi Martin’s Gina Harwood promises even more suspense and surreal action! In Descending, Gina discovers a mysterious portal in an ordinary wall that leads somewhere few humans were meant to go, while a group of friends set out to make a music video in a creepy old house that goes terribly, horribly wrong.

My Review

Gina Harwood is a telepathic investigator who is trying to come to terms with her new way of life in Unit 12.  Needing her partner in ways she never thought she would Gina keeps trying to train her new powers. Now if only the dreams would stop she would be in good shape. While she's doing this her partners are looking for a new case.

The book then starts going back and forth between Gina and her team....and the case they will eventually catch on to and need to solve.  The band that is in trouble has a world of pain coming there way and they'll never know what hit them!

There's a whole lot more going on then anyone realizes and now we wont find out what happens until book 3.

Review of Breaking Lauren

Seventeen-year-old Danny Cummings' life is far from a fairytale, but that's okay since he doesn't believe in happy endings. After spending a year in juvenile hall for maliciously beating his sister's boyfriend, Danny embraces his badass image. Spending most nights drinking, fighting and collecting gambling debts for his Uncle, Danny's life is out of control. His addiction to the bad boy lifestyle won't let him do anything about it, even with his family begging him to go straight. But, when fifteen-year-old Lauren McIntosh stumbles into one of his nightly escapades, the self-proclaimed anti-romantic can't concentrate on anything except Lauren and the fact that she's on the same path his sister was on. Danny knows true love happening for the villain is as common as gamblers paying their debt on time, but he's never backed away from a challenge before and he hates the idea that history will repeat itself.

Growing old with the man she loves-in the small town where she was born-is the only dream Lauren McIntosh has ever had; that is until her family is practically run out of town amidst rumors of arson and adultery. So, when she meets Danny at her new school and hears the rumors about his activities from her new friends, she wants nothing to do with him or the gossip that seems to follow Danny everywhere. After a dangerous and ill-fated attempt at sneaking out, she develops unwelcomed feelings for Danny that he seems to reciprocate. But, Danny's unrelenting pursuit makes Lauren nervous, especially since he's the only one that wants to know the secrets surrounding her family's move. Lauren can't tell if Danny's intentions are true or if he has other plans for their newfound and unlikely friendship. The only way to figure out is to let him in and that could destroy everything, including the popularity and social acceptance she desperately seeks.

My Review
Jordan Deen categorizes "Breaking Lauren" in YA Romance contemporary fiction, these labels fit it perfectly.  Although the disclaimer/warning of underage drinking, illegal drugs, physical abuse, and underage sex should be put on it in the YA frame of things.  Her writing flows very smoothly. With her well developed characters, Deen takes you through the lives of a variety of high school teenagers. I could visualize myself back in school as I followed the story.  There are the Jocks and the burn outs just like back then.  This is kind of a combination of a modern day Romeo and Juliet and unrequited love. I was pulling for Danny all the way!  I am still not sure how I feel about the ending though.  Good job Jordan Deen

Review by Rachel
This is just a great fast paced adventure! Jumping right into the story and characters lives Becca Smith wastes no time ensnaring us.
Kala is a young women that has been from one foster home to another...never really having a "family" of her own. So when she joins the service, and is in the seals an elite team with others she can count on as family she has a hard time turning her back on them. Then comes the President....after her encounter with him her world turns upside down.

She is told to do things that she would never dream of doing. Now if only others lives didn't depend on her completing her new "mission." This mission includes demons, the titan Atlas, and angles, but it also includes her commanding officer Jack. Whom she also happens to be in love with. Will Kala make the right choices in order to save the world?
What an entrancing read that's hard to put down! I'm hoping that book 2 will be coming soon.
